quasi new pc

A few days ago i was bored, i got an old pc from the basement and tried to fix it up. I ran into so many problems, it had windows 2k as the os as well as tons of viruses. I couldn't even get online to dld any fixes and it didn't even have msconfig...smh. Then i remembered i had this around.

A copy of ubuntu a distro of linux that i got for free a while ago. The install was easy and i think it works on the machine way better than windows did. Took me 2 days to download updates and some ide's to code with. So i ended up with a like new pc with state of the art zip and floppy drives. Now i can program in peace!!!!!!!!!

Joystick 1.0

This is my first post in a long long time. But i've decided to start posting about all the projects i've been working on and even stuff i hope to work and just find interesting. So for the last few months i've had the love of arcade games revived and wanted to build my own joystick. So i did what i usually did, research. I read about woodworking and joystick building at various forums and sites and got some parts, and used what i know about electronics to build this.

It's a basic 6 button joystick i hacked out of an old playstation joypad i had around. sadly on my first try it didnt' work. The copper got pulled off the board,it still isn't perfect but i later got it to work. I definately plan on making more of these. Now i can play street fighter the way it was meant to be played. More posts to come.
